The City of Mansfield is in the process of developing a new Consolidated Plan for the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Funds (HOME) through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Plan will cover the 2019-2023 period and will identify the City’s priorities for allocating these federal grant funds for the next five years.

To that end, the City has created an online survey to gain citizens’ opinions on neighborhood and city needs. Another survey will obtain input from agencies, business, investors, and organizations.

In addition to the survey, public meetings and hearings for community feedback are scheduled:

  • Thursday, January 10 — Two Sessions: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM & 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM @ the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library Community Room, 43 West Third Street
  • Tuesday, January 15 — 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM @ the North End Community Improvement Collaborative, 134 North Main Street
  • Friday, January 18 — 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM @ Mansfield Memorial Homes, Conard House Senior Center Building, 71 Blymyer Avenue
  • Tuesday, February 19 — 6:00 P.M.@ Council Chambers, Open to applicants to discuss their FY’19 proposals
  • Tuesday, March 19 — City Council Public Affairs Committee meets to review the recommendations of the Consolidated Plan/Annual Action Plan FY’19
  • Tuesday, April 2 — City Council to vote on Consolidated Plan/FY’19 Action Plan
  • April 12 through May 12 — 30-day Public Comment Period
