A rapidly-growing pizza restaurant chain embracing a new concept in the industry is making north central Ohio one of its new homes.

According to its website, Firenza Pizza was created in 2015 by two pizza aficionados with “a goal to develop a restaurant where pizza lovers could get a high quality, artisanal pizza that based in only three minutes.”

It’s called fresh fired.

Three years later, there are 21 existing and planned locations from Oregon and California on the west coast to New Jersey and North Carolina on the east coast. The Ontario location will be at 2074 Walker Lake Road adjacent to Panera and is scheduled to open soon. (UPDATE – we have been informed that a Grand Opening is set for November 3)!

Visitors to the website can go through the pizza ordering process at Firenza (you can access the menu here). Steps to “create your own masterpie” include choosing the dough and size, sauce, cheese, and toppings. Ovens with temperatures over 800 degrees cook the pizza within three minutes.
