Another local governmental body has improved its online presence through the launching of a new website.

Following on the heels of a new Richland County site, the county’s public health district has unveiled the brand-new richlandhealth.org, which presents information about the agency’s services and resources in an attractive visual interface.

Richland Public Health promotes health and wellness across the county, and has jurisdiction in all areas with the exception of the city of Shelby (which has its own city health department). Since 1986, that has included the city of Mansfield as well. Its home has been located on Lexington Avenue since the early 1990s.

According to the website, Richland Public Health is governed by a Board of Health and a District Advisory Council. The Board meet monthly and its meetings are open to the public; the Council meets annually and makes recommendations and shares concerns with the Board. Members of the Council include the chair of each of the county’s township boards of trustees; any village mayor; the mayors of Mansfield and Ontario; and the current chair of the Richland County Commissioners.

The new Richland Public Health website has easy access to a menu of agency services, an events calendar, the latest news, information on departments, and details about the agency and its operations. Future site capabilities include the ability to register on the site. Currently, filling out a survey will allow visitors to enter a drawing for a fee Amazon Echo Dot.

The entire site is easy to navigate and is visually appealing. The main page includes a new video profiling what Richland Public Health does for the local community; it can be seen below as well.
