In 1961, the Lettermen recorded their first hit, “The Way You Look Tonight,” demonstrating their unique three-part harmony to the world.

Fifty-eight years later, the iconic male vocal trio will perform at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield on Saturday, November 30 at 8:00 PM. The concert is presented as a part of the Avita Health System Concert Series.

Tickets start at $15 and are on sale at the Renaissance Box Office, via phone at (419) 522-2726 and online at RenTickets.org. Additional support provided by Nancy and Sid Hall.

For almost 60 years, The Lettermen – whose current lineup is Donovan Tea, Bobby Poynton, and Rob Gulack – have kept the memory of those original harmonies alive with their soft, romantic, harmonic blend of music which is as popular with their fans today as it was in 1961. After the success of “The Way You Look Tonight”, they followed up with another chart-topper, “When I Fall in Love”, and have remained in harmony for decades, performing thousands of shows worldwide.

To their credit, The Lettermen have over 75 albums, numerous certified gold, and a myriad of hits including “When I Fall In Love”, “Come Back Silly Girl”, “Theme From A Summer Place”, “Goin’ Out Of My Head/Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You”, “Put Your Head On My Shoulder”, “Hurt So Bad”, and “Shangri-La”.The Lettermen have crafted a show that will entertain and satisfy. They intersperse the musical numbers in their show with storytelling, both funny and serious. They are also mindful of their dedicated fans, offering an opportunity during the show for picturing taking. Also, because the members of the trio are successful performers in their own right, each man will perform solo material during the show. At the heart of every performance remains the harmonies that won them success so many decades ago.
