As we shared on Monday, Dirt Million is taking place this Friday and Saturday at the Mansfield Motor Speedway. In anticipation of traffic resulting from the event, the Mansfield Division of Police has issued a noise and traffic advisory.

The Division of Police would like to advise the public that on August 24 and 25 the Mansfield Motor Speedway will be hosting the Dirt Million Late Model Racing Event at 400 Crall Road. Hot laps will start both days around 6:00 PM and racing starts around 8:00 PM.

Mansfield Motor Speedway schedules their events to conclude by 11:30 PM, but weather or unforeseen events on the race track can cause delays. Due to the size of this event and race teams traveling from all over the United States, each night of racing must be completed and may go later into the night. The race track officials will make every effort to conclude racing before 2:00 AM if circumstances put them into that position.

On Friday, August 24, if racing ends as scheduled there will be an after party with a live band on the concourse area behind the stands until 1:00 AM. Mansfield Motor Speedway officials understand that noise from this event and the large amount of fans camping at their facility over the weekend may cause a disturbance and will make every effort to respect their neighbors and the citizens of Mansfield.

The Mansfield Division of Police will have officers working in off-duty capacity during the weekend and may be contacted by calling the dispatch center at (419) 522-1234 if there are any issues or complaints at the race track.

There will be anticipated traffic congestion on State Route 13 North, Crall Road (between S.R. 13 & S.R. 545) and State Route 545 on both days before racing begins from 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM and the end of the night between 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Citizens should plan alternate routes to avoid delays if traveling in these areas.
