As we share each week in our Mid-Ohio Mid-Week Music series, north central Ohio is a place where talent thrives – including of the vocal and instrumental version.

That wealth is no more evident than in the Mansfield area’s collection of singers and songwriters. This month, that music was celebrated with release of the Volume III of “419 Renditions.”

According to its website, which is accessible here, 419 Renditions features “13 Mansfield independent musicians” who were “randomly paired with each other to cover one of their partner act’s songs. Over the course of the month, these songs were re-worked, re-arranged, and re-recorded in each band’s style.”

The result is that the artists’ renditions often sound fresh and unique.

Each song is available in its entirety on the release website. The album may be purchased a price determined by the purchaser, and includes a high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more. Paying supporters also get unlimited streaming via the free Bandcamp app.

The second volume is also accessible on the site.

Listed producers of the album are: Self Harmony Productions, Robin Hirst, DayTrip Studio, Potent Studios, Nick Careless, John Slimak, Luke Adkins, Nate Wieland, Marshall Elgin, and Chico’s Brother.
