At approximately 8:46 PM on Thursday evening the METRICH Enforcement Unit, with assistance from the Richland County Sheriff’s Office served a drug related search warrant at 2724 Holtz Road in Shelby.
The search warrant was the result of a short term investigation after several complaints of drug trafficking in the area.
The search warrant was signed by the Honorable Judge Studer.
During the search of the residence, METRICH detectives seized approximately three (3) ounces of suspected crystal methamphetamine, prescription medications, over $500.00 in U.S. currency, 2 handguns, numerous rounds of ammunition and a variety of assorted drug paraphernalia.
Detectives arrested and charged Jacob Stewart and Marc Noblit, both who resided at the residence, with various felony charges. Both were incarcerated at the Richland County Jail pending their appearance in court. Additional charges may be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor for review.
METRICH Commander Lt. Joseph D. Petrycki stated this investigation was the result of collaboration between the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and the METRICH Enforcement Unit working together with the goal of removing drugs and weapons from the communities in Richland County, Ohio. Lt. Joseph D. Petrycki also thanked those in the community who called in the tips and complaints which assisted detectives in this investigation.
