Members of the 143rd Basic Peace Officer Class received training certificates during a graduation ceremony held Thursday afternoon at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Training Academy. The 39 graduates will assume duties as peace officers for 23 Ohio agencies.

On Friday at 10:31 PM, the METRICH Enforcement Unit, assisted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at 1813 Richard Drive. The search warrant was signed by the Honorable Judge Ardis, and was the result of a short term investigation in response to several overdoses that have occurred in the Mansfield and Madison Township area. Fentanyl is the suspected cause of the overdoses. Prior to executing the search warrant, METRICH detectives arrest Michael Bolden at an address on Armstrong Avenue in the City of Mansfield.
