Herbs have a variety of benefits to share. One way in which those gifts can be enhanced is through transforming those plants into tinctures, a concentrated liquid form of the herb. It might seem a bit old-fashioned, but it can have very modern uses.

Now you have an opportunity to learn how to create herbal tinctures for yourself through a workshop at Kingwood Center Gardens.

Tinctures preserve and concentrate the properties of the herb, making them more effective and longer lasting. As enhanced versions of the plant, tinctures are often fast-acting; they are also portable and easy to tuck into a purse or bag.

Some use tinctures to address very present-day concerns such as dull skin, acne, and even insomnia.

Join Nicholas Copley at “Create Your Own Tincture,” coming to Kingwood Center Gardens on June 30 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 PM. The cost is $25 for non-members, $22 for volunteers, and $20 for members.
