St. Peter’s Church in Mansfield is set to host a unique musical event on Sunday, May 5 at 4:00 PM, featuring the BlueWater Chamber Orchestra. Located at 60 South Mulberry Street, the church will welcome the acclaimed orchestra under the direction of Artistic Director Daniel Meyer for a special program. The event is part of the St. Peter’s Music Series, designed to bring high-quality music to the local community.

The highlight of the evening will be the performance of world-renowned guitarist Jason Vieaux, who will play Vivaldi’s Guitar Concerto in D. Vieaux, a Grammy Award-winning guitarist, is known for his technical prowess and expressive performances. He will also perform a new piece for guitar and strings by Israeli composer Avner Dorman, entitled “How to Love.” This contemporary work explores themes of connection and emotion, offering a perfect piece for modern audiences.

Beethoven’s 7th Symphony and Family-Friendly Format

To conclude the program, the BlueWater Chamber Orchestra will perform Beethoven’s 7th Symphony, a dynamic and uplifting piece known for its rhythmic vitality. The event is designed to be family-friendly and will be played without intermission, allowing attendees of all ages to enjoy the music without long breaks.
