This month, the Ohio State Reformatory is offering new abbreviated tours.

These tours take place seven days a week through September 27, from 11 AM to 4 PM each day. Take a self-guided “Haunted Halls of OSR” tour and experience long ago history, traces of Hollywood magic, and maybe even a glimpse of the otherworldly. Daring guests can also check out an exclusive behind-the-scenes sneak peel of the Halloween event, “Escape from Blood Prison.”

This shorter tour will include the administrative areas, residential quarters, chapel, one tier of the East cell block, and the Central Guard Room. The Museum and Museum Store/Gift Shop will also be open.

Tickets are just $6 and are available here (click on the photo on the right).

As noted above, this is a limited tour. Due to discounted pricing, OSR will not be offering the regular tour discounts. Please also be advised that this tour is not handicap-accessible.

Escape from Blood Prison begins on September 26 and runs through November 4.
