The Mansfield City Schools Board of Education will elect a president and vice president during its 2019 organizational meeting at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, January 15. The board’s regular monthly meeting will follow immediately.

In addition to election of officers, the organizational meeting will include a resolution to have one regularly scheduled meeting at 5:30 PM on the third Tuesday of each month. Routine actions will include approval of standing authorizations for the year and board member committee assignments.

The regular meeting will include action on the treasurer’s monthly reports and the superintendent’s recommended contracts. Brenda White, a paraprofessional at Sherman Elementary School, will be recognized as the district’s Every Student, Every Day champion for January.

Gifts to the District to be accepted include:

  1. $8,000.00 from the Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital, toward scoretables.
  2. $4,500.00 from the Russell & Mary Gimbel Foundation to Malabar to be used for Chromebooks.
  3. $1,000.00 from Dick’s Sporting Goods to Mansfield Middle School for their athletic awards.
  4. $50.00 donation from ECO Center LLC to Springmill (STEM) Elementary toward field trip transportation costs.
  5. $1,135.00 in donations from ‘The Day of Giving’ event via ‘Richland Gives’ to Mansfield City Schools for various student events and teaching aids.

Board meetings are held at the Raemelton administration building, 856 W. Cook Road.
