With summer in full swing, the farmers markets in and near Mansfield are sharing locally produced items for sale in several locations and at various times during the week. Here is a sampling of what’s on offer:

Richland Mall Farmers Market — Join us outside in front of the food court from 4 – 7 p.m. every Tuesday in June through October for our Farmer’s Market and Craft Show, organized by Saltzgiver Family Farm! Get your fill of local fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, baked goods, handmade crafts and more! If you’re interested in becoming a vendor, please call Melinda Saltzgiver at 419-529-5929.

Alta’s Farmers Market – Presented by Alta Florist and Greenhouse, 935 South Home Road in Mansfield. This is ideal for those who sleep in or do housework on Saturday mornings. The Market takes place every Saturday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the North Lawn.

Holy Trinity Farmers Market — This is a seasonal open air market featuring in-season fruits, vegetables, and plants grown by the seller (no auction or re-sell produce/plants) as well as home baked goods, jams and jelly, maple syrup, fresh cut flowers, flavored popcorn, nuts, cheese, garlic and more. Located in the west church parking lot at the corner of Cook Road and Lexington Avenue in Mansfield. Held on Tuesdays from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, May through September.

NECIC North End Farmers Market – The Market is a part of NECIC’s North End Local Foods Initiative (NELFI). Established in 2014, the North End Farmers’ Market focuses on providing fresh, healthy food for North End residents, as well as boosting the local economy by helping North End residents launch their own small market business. Every Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 417 Blust Avenue. More information can be found here.
