The Auditorium at St. Peter’s High School will be a magical place to be over the next two weekends, as the St. Peter’s Department of Theatre and Performing Arts presents the musical Cinderella. The music is presented as a part of the 2017-2018 St. Peter’s Music Series.
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella was originally written for television, and starred a young Julie Andrews in the title role. Amazingly for the time, the broadcast had over 100 million viewers. Well-known songs from the musical include “In My Own Little Corner” and “Do I Love You Because You’re Beautiful?”
This presentation by St. Peter’s will feature two separate casts and a live orchestra. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday nights at 7:00 PM, and a Sunday matinee at 3:00 PM.
This is the next-to-last offering during the current St. Peter’s Music Series season. It will come to a close with excerpts from the 1610 Vespers of Claudio Monteverdi, which will be presented on Sunday, May 6.
Tickets for Cinderella may be obtained here.
