Another local institution has launched a new website.
In the case, the site is one for a health services company that recently completed a major expansion into Richland County. Avita Health System’s new online home provides a dramatic enhancement from its former site, with new types of information available for current and potential patients.
That innovative approach is immediately apparent, as the site’s home page shows current waiting times at Avita’s three main emergency rooms in Bucyrus, Galion, and Ontario. Other features include the following, among others:
- The ability to access lab test results, manage appointments, and request refills using “MyChart.”
- Online bill payment and bill management
- A “Health Library” with information on conditions and treatment
- Accessing volunteer opportunities
- Complete details on facility location, hours, etc.
- News about developments at Avita
Avita Health System now operates hospitals or other health care facilities across north central Ohio, including in Bellville, Bucyrus, Crestline, Galion, Marion, New Washington, and Ontario. The system began in 2011 when the Galion Community Hospital acquired Bucyrus Community Hospital, and now has some 1,800 employees.
The new website can be found at the same location as the former version – avitahealth.org.
