The Office of the Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted has reminded voters that the start of absentee voting in the August 7 Special 12th Congressional District General Election is today, July 10, for all registered Ohio voters.

In August, voters in Ohio’s 12th Congressional District will elect a new representative to complete the remainder of the term in the United States House of Representatives seat that was left vacant following former Congressman Pat Tiberi’s retirement earlier this year. The 12th Congressional District is composed of parts or all of Richland, Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Marion, Morrow, and Muskingum Counties. A congressional district map can be found online.

Voters will weigh in on a total of four local issues across seven counties – none in Richland County . The full, detailed and interactive 2018 elections calendar is available online.  All voters in areas holding a special election may begin voting via in-person or by mail-in absentee ballot.
