Mansfield City Schools Kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year will be held at each of the district’s elementary schools from April 16 through June 3. Children must be 5 years old on or before August 1.
Parents or guardians may call their local school to make an appointment during school hours. The times of 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM are recommended. Additional times can be scheduled upon request.
Registration during the summer will take place from June 4 through August 3 at the Raemelton district central office, 856 W. Cook Road. Registration will be based on residents’ addresses at Prospect Elementary School, 485 Gilbert Ave.; Sherman Elementary School, 1138 Springmill Road, and Woodland Elementary School, 60 Davis Road. Kindergarten registration is open to all residents at the Spanish Immersion School, 240 Euclid Ave., or Springmill STEM Elementary School, 1200 Nestor Dr.
Students may apply to attend any school through the open enrollment process.
A parent or guardian must provide the following required documents at registration:
- Child’s birth certificate or similar documentation authorized by law
- Social Security number
- Immunization (shot) records
- Proof of residency documents: A deed, mortgage, lease, current homeowner’s or reenter’s insurance declaration page, or current real property tax bill; a utility bill or receipt of utility installation issued within 90 days of enrollment; a paycheck or pay stub issued to the parent or student within 90 days of the date of enrollment that includes the address of the parent’s or student’s primary residence; the most current available bank statement issued to the parent or student that includes the address of the parent’s or student’s primary residence, etc.
- A certified copy of any custody order or decree together with any modification in such an order or decree, if applicable.
The district requests documentation of IEP and ETR or 504 (if applicable) and any additional information that a parent or guardian wishes to share that will contribute to a child’s success.
Children who will not be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1 may apply to attend pre-kindergarten at Springmill STEM Elementary, 419-525-6348. Early entrance information is available at Raemelton at 419-525-6400, ext. 56446. For more information, call 419-525-6400, select option 4.
