Mikayla Bodey’s love for education began at The Ohio State University at Mansfield in the fall of 2013. She chose the Mansfield campus to sharpen her skills and took advantage of the extra resources available on campus to help improve her grades and increase her confidence.

She praises the attention she received at Ohio State Mansfield, “Thanks to the help from the staff and the academic tutoring services provided by the Conard Learning Center, I was able to earn a 4.0-grade point average my first year.”

Bodey transitioned to the Columbus campus as a sophomore, accepted into the prestigious John Glenn College of Public Affairs where she flourished. She interned in Washington D.C. through the Washington Academic Internship Program, accepting a position with the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry. She then graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Public Policy and Management, receiving an Outstanding Senior Award for the 2017 graduating class, an award presented to less than one percent of graduates each year.

The transition to Columbus was seamless and Bodey was prepared for the challenge provided as she completed studies in her major. “My experience at The Ohio State University John Glenn College of Public Affairs was phenomenal. The College truly prepared me for the workforce, and I know they will continue to support me as an alumna.”

Bodey has fond memories of enrolling at The Ohio State University at Mansfield and believes it could be the right decision for many new Buckeyes “OSU-Mansfield will continue to provide an exceptional education to its students.”

Bodey lives in Washington, D.C., working with an advocacy organization that specializes in farmland preservation where she specializes in agri-food policy.
