You may have noticed that the arrival of chilly temperatures and snowy roads has not completely eliminated work on local streets and throughfares. The Ohio Department of Transportation is winding down its program of 2018 work, but a limited number of projects remain to be completed, including two in Richland County.

Those two are, according to ODOT District 3:

State Route 39

SR 39, from Country Club Dr. to Taylortown Rd., will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Crews are finishing paving, berm, and pavement markings. The project is expected to be complete this month.

Interstate 71

I-71, between SR 97 and SR 39 interchanges, will have intermittent single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Crews continue to work on temporary striping, rumble strips and other miscellaneous work. The project is expected to be complete this month.
