The Renaissance Theatre will hold a free Volunteer Open House on Wednesday, September 19 from 5-7 PM.  As a non-profit organization, the Renaissance Performing Arts Association relies on volunteers to assist in many ways from concessions, to ushering, to administrative work.

Front of House Manager, Ryan Shealy, who oversees the volunteer program, wants to use this opportunity to inform the public that there are ways to participate in the Renaissance beyond purchasing tickets, donating money, or sponsoring.  “We are always pushing the boundaries of what we do here at the Ren,” stated Shealy.  “We have a much busier season than usual.  More shows, more films, and even opening a second theatrical space.  We need as many volunteers as we can find; people who are excited about being part of what comes next!”

At the Volunteer Open House, free theatre tours will be available for anyone wishing one.  All attendees will receive free popcorn and be entered into the evening’s drawings for fantastic prizes.  If attendees fill out a volunteer application at the event, they will be entered into a special drawing for a fabulous prize package.

Being a volunteer at the Renaissance has many benefits.  Having the opportunity to see shows for free is one of the most popular benefits.  There are also show discounts and special pricing, social events with free snacks and beverages, invitation to the annual Encore League dinner, loyalty recognition awards, and more!  Each and every volunteer will of course get our undying gratitude.

The Open House is free to the public and requires no reservation.  For more information, contact Ryan at [email protected].
