One of the perks of living in north central Ohio is that not only do we have wonderful shopping, attractions, and amenities close to home – particularly here in Richland County – but that we are also in short driving distance to experiences with world class cultural and entertainment options.

On occasion, we will share news of major developments taking place in Cleveland or Columbus that provide such opportunities for Richland Countians. One such project was announced on Monday in Columbus.

In a presentation covered by multiple news sources, Easton Town Center shared plans for a $500 million (that’s right – half a billion dollars) addition to that shopping and entertainment mecca. In brief, the new complex will connect Easton Town Center, the original development, with Easton Gateway, the cluster of new stores are restaurants a short distance to the northeast.

The 16 acre development will include multiple new stores and restaurants, including Ohio’s very first RH Gallery and a new Marriot Aloft hotel.

Another addition will be a new events venue in a public green known as “The Yard.”

A “flyover video” of the new expansion can be viewed below, and great images from 10TV.com can be seen here.
