St. Peter’s Music Series Returns With Flautist Angela Massey

It’s wonderful to be sharing the news that the popular and unique St. Peter’s Music Series is returning to bring Mansfield audiences outstanding opportunities to hear solo and group artists in performance.

This time it is flautist Angela Massey, accompanied by pianist Erika Dohi.

The performance will feature works for the flute created by composers J.S. Bach, Mouquet, Saint-Saens, and Matt Smith.

Ms. Massey maintains an active career as a solo artist, chamber artist, orchestral musician, and instructor. She has performed in venues across the United States and Europe. Massey’s academic credentials include a certificate in Advanced Flute Studies from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master of Music degree in flute performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and a Bachelor of Music degree in flute performance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. St. Peter’s Music Series Continues with “The Thirteen”

Famed A Cappella Choir “The Thirteen” will present Tallis Through the Looking Glass at St. Peter’s Church in Mansfield on Tuesday, October 22 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM (cost: $10). Thomas Tallis, who is considered one of England’s greatest composers, lived in the sixteenth century and performed his works for royalty including Henry VIII. More…

St. Peter’s Music Series Begins With The Suburban Brass Ensemble

On any given late summer evening, the setting sun-lit twin steeples of St. Peter’s Church crown the downtown Mansfield skyline.

In a similar way, the annual series of musical offerings from the Parish shines by providing area residents with the best of classical and related fare. St. Peter’s Music Series Continues With Handel’s Messiah

The St. Peter’s Music Series has re-started this spring after a several month hiatus caused by the extensive restoration of the interior of St. Peter’s Church.

It has been well worth the wait, however, both because of the stunning renovation but also because the Series has returned to benefit the community. Noted Soloist To Perform At St. Peter’s

Shakespearian Era Music To Fill St. Peter’s

Choral Concert At St. Peter’s

St. Peter’s Music Series Continues With Appalachian Christmas Celebration

The next program in the 2017-2018 St. Peter’s Music Series will take place on Wednesday, when Mansfield welcomes Christmas on Sugarloaf Mountain: An Irish-Appalachian Celebration, with Apollo’s Fire, as they return to present this world-premiere performance.

The performance will begin at 7 PM at St. Peter’s Church. Under the direction of Jeanette Sorrell, and featuring Soprano Amanda Powell and Tenor Ross Hauck, the Apollo’s Singers will be accompanied by strings, lute, banjo and hammered dulcimer in this tribute to the roots of Appalachian music for the holidays. Chamber Orchestra To Perform At St. Peter’s

The 2017-2018 edition of the St. Peter’s Music Series begins on Sunday, October 29 with a performance by the BlueWater Chamber Orchestra.

The Orchestra will present an All-Beethoven Program including the famed Egmont Overture, the Romance in F Major for Violin, and the renowned 7th Symphony with the profoundly touching Second Movement—Allegretto.
