On any given late summer evening, the setting sun-lit twin steeples of St. Peter’s Church crown the downtown Mansfield skyline.

In a similar way, the annual series of musical offerings from the Parish shines by providing area residents with the best of classical and related fare. After a shortened season last year because of the extensive restoration activities taking place inside the sanctuary, the St. Peter’s Music Series is back in full force for the 2019-2020 season.

The first performance will be by the Suburban Brass Ensemble, which will perform at 7:30 PM at St. Peter’s.

This is a return performance by the Brass Ensemble that thrilled concert-goers last spring with their Renaissance and Baroque selections. In their return performance here, the Suburban Brass Ensemble will be joined by the student Brass Ensemble from Oberlin College/Oberlin Conservatory of Music.

The performance will feature works from the Renaissance and Baroque repertoire, with an extra helping of music that’s a little bit newer.
