Mansfield Senior High School’s 2016 homecoming queen will be announced during an afternoon assembly on Friday, Oct. 14, in Pete Henry Gym just hours before the Tygers welcome Wooster to Arlin Field.

The homecoming parade is being revived this year. It will leave the parking lot behind Senior High at 5:30 p.m., then travel on Park Avenue West and north on Trimble Road to Arlin Field.

Senior queen candidates include:

— Paige Gutai, escorted by Ethan Ludey

— Trinitee Jones, escorted by Tyrek Gordon

— Amari Jordan, escorted by Joe Ellis

— Abre’anna Mercer, escorted by Davis Chapman

Attendants are:

— Freshman Treasure Jones, escorted by Clay Caudill

— Sophomore Mahoganey Gaither, escorted by Thomas Ison II

— Junior Rakaysha Smith, escorted by Aubrey Chapman Jr.

The theme of the homecoming dance on Saturday evening, Oct. 15, is “A Night Under the Sea.” It will be in the Senior High commons.
