With a bit of late fall chill in the area earlier this week, thoughts of winter activities may have been crossing your mind. That’s certainly the case on Possum Run Road, where the folks at Snow Trails are gearing up for a super season at Ohio’s premier resort for skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing — Snow Trails.
One new addition is a brand new website, which features great visuals; new videos on topics such as learning to ski and snowmaking; information on passes and programs; and much, much more. Snow Trails’ new website can be accessed at this location online.
One change for the coming season is expansion of the number of full tubing weekends – five in 2017-2018, as compared to three last winter – and expanding hours.
Snow Trails, which was the first commercial ski area in Ohio, has been under the same management since inception. The resort features six chairlifts, including a slow moving Beginner’s Double Chairlift and two newly added ski carpets dedicated to the Beginner’s Area Complex, and a third carpet lift utilized for the Snow Tubing Park with the “Longest Tubing Lanes in Ohio.” Two new trails were recently added to include Timberline, the “Longest Trail in Ohio,” bringing total trails to 17, with three glade ski areas, plus the addition of a recent addition of a fourth terrain park.
