Fireworks In The Snow

Snow Trails is getting ready for the upcoming ski season and they are inviting the public to both celebrate improvements that have been made at the resort and to start getting ready for their season-opening.

They have replaced the Zozo Party from years past, which featured bonfires, with a different kind of pre-season celebration: A November fireworks show. The event will take place on Saturday, November 9. More…

Big Air, Big Fun

This Saturday brings the Big Air Competition at Snow Trails.

The event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Snow Trails Ski Shop, it will take place under the lights on the Mount Mansfield slope. The course is designed for both novices and experts and has a moderate length jump to focus on “big air” and not “big distance.” All skiers and snowboarders are welcome. More…

Winter Hike For Health This Saturday

Richland Public Health’s “Winter Hike for Health” on Saturday, February 10 will be in two locations. In addition to the traditional hike at Malabar Farm State Park, Gorman Nature Center in Mansfield is joining in the day’s healthy fun.

Enjoy the winter wonderland with hikes through the woods at either location from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hikes are self-guided on easy trails so everyone in the family can participate. More…

Winter Camping In Ohio State Parks

Don’t let the cold and snow keep you indoors. Ohio State Parks offer camping opportunities throughout the winter season.

Generally, winter season runs from November 1 through March 31, however that varies by park. The cost to camp is $3 less than during peak season weekends, though rates due vary by park. Not all parks accept reservations, and most are walk-in only. More…

With a bit of late fall chill in the area earlier this week, thoughts of winter activities may have been crossing your mind. That’s certainly the case on Possum Run Road, where the folks at Snow Trails are gearing up for a super season at Ohio’s premier resort for skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing — Snow Trails.

Snow Trails Hosting Winter Ski Carnaval

Snow Trails, Ohio’s popular ski, snowboard, and snowtubing resort, will host the 56th Annual Winter Ski Carnival February 25th and 26th. The weekend festivities have been celebrated since the very first season in 1961-‘62 at Snow Trails.

Normal Hours & Rates for skiing and snowboarding, as well as Standard Hours & Rates in Vertical Descent Tubing Park all weekend. Although the events and features are designed to add excitement and fun to the weekend, all are welcome to come and enjoy the resort whether you participate in events or not.
