It’s a movement that brings local residents together to engage in collective whole health walking in Richland County. Walks are open to all and take place in various types of terrain – including parks, urban streets, residential neighborhoods, along the Richland B&O Trail, and others.

Participants are welcome to join in no matter their motivation – to meet new people, engage in healthy activity, experience nature, whatever the case. Recent walks have included a Trail Walk with the City of Shelby Health Department, an Ohio Bird Sanctuary Trail Walk, and a “Beat the Heat” Woods Fitness Hike.”Typical distances traversed range from 2 to 4 miles, with speeds and special features noted in the description for a given event.

Upcoming walks include:

  • Evening Walks on the Mansfield Campus (NSCS/OSUM) — October 20, 27; November 3, 10, 17, 24 — at 5:30 PM
  • Monthly Wellness Walk at the OhioHealth Fitness Center — November 16 at 5:0 PM
