Funds Sought For Tyger To Make Big 10 Visits

A GoFundMe campaign is underway to provide funds for a Mansfield Senior High School football standout and his coach to visit two Big Ten schools.

The visits would be made by junior Jornell Manns and head football coach Chioke Bradley. “Jornell is an outstanding junior student athlete. He has been blessed with many offers to continue his education and football career in college,” Bradley said. More…

Mid-Ohio Driving School Registration Now Open

The countdown is on for the driving and riding programs to begin at The Mid-Ohio School.  The 2017 schedule is available online now at drivemidohio.com, and customers can enroll immediately by calling 419-884-4000.

The Mid-Ohio School offers professional driving and riding instruction to drivers and motorcyclists of all skill levels.  The 25th season of operation starts in March with Honda Teen Defensive Driving Programs, the most popular of its offerings.  The on track high performance driving and racing courses and performance track riding for sportsbike owners begin with the opening of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in April.  More…

Madison Standout Signs At Kentucky

Madison’s Tyrell Ajian is heading south this next year to play football for the Kentucky Wildcats.

Ajian was a combination athlete at Madison, playing both defensive back and wide receiver who was ranked as a four star prospect by 247Sports, Rivals, and ESPN. Rivals ranks him as the number 10 overall prospect in Ohio, and ESPN has him pegged as the number 8 safety in the country. More…

Law enforcement officers, first responders, and veterans will be recognized during halftime of the Mansfield Senior-Toledo Central Catholic varsity basketball game Saturday evening in Pete Henry Gym.

Lucas Oil Dirt Series Expands To Include Mansfield Next Year

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series has expanded an already aggressive 2017 slate. The captivating stars of the nation’s premier dirt late model tour will invade Mansfield Motor Speedway on July 2 for a 50-lap, $10,000-to-win event, dubbed – The Freedom 50.

The deep, rich and long history of racing in Mansfield, Ohio dates back to 1959, when the original track – Mansfield Raceway – first opened as a 3/8-mile dirt track.  It was converted to an asphalt track in 1999, renamed (Mansfield Motorsports Speedway) and has remained asphalt ever since.  The speedway saw its pinnacle moments from 2004-2008 where it held NASCAR Truck Series events and drew standing room only crowds of over 20,000 in attendance. Snow Trails Predicts Weekend Opening

Winter is here! Or, at least, it will be here in time for a weekend opening at Snow Trails, officials there declared on Tuesday.

An official declaration on the starting day for Snow Trails’ 56th season will take on Friday, but tentatively, the magic date and time are this Sunday, December 11 at 9:00 AM. Regular weekday hours would follow beginning on Monday from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM each day. More…

Mansfield Senior Alum A Leader At Grand Valley

When the season ended for Grand Valley State University’s football squad this past weekend in the NCAA Division II Quaterfinals, some 17 seniors saw their last action as Lakers.
