The Ohio State University at Mansfield has initiated a series of posts entitled “Alumni Conversations.” In each, an OSUM alum is profiled. The goal of the series is to identify how “alumni at The Ohio State University at Mansfield have changed lives, traveled the world, and become great leaders in their communities.”

The Heidi Chronicles Begin This Evening

In a romp through the last half of the 20th century, Heidi Holland tries to find her bearings in a rapidly changing world. She watches her friends of the 1960s move from idealism and political radicalism through militant feminism and, eventually, back to the materialism they once rejected. Can her liberation be achieved? Ohio State Mansfield Basketball Tip-Off Right Around The Corner

It’s the time of year when high school football ends and collegiate and high school basketball takes center stage.

With that comes the opening games for the 2017-2018 season for The Ohio State University at Mansfield’s men’s and women’s basketball squads. Both are members of the Ohio Regional Campus Conference (ORCC) which OSUM joined in 2010. OSUM Student Veteran Selected For Leadership Institution

The Ohio State University at Mansfield student and veteran, Mike Carroll has been selected to participate in the Student Veterans of America (SVA) Leadership Institution. He will spend three-days in Dallas, TX. The SVA’s Leadership Institute trains student veterans how to be leaders in the chapter, campus, and community.

Carroll says, “Being invited to the SVA Leadership Institute is both an honor and very humbling. I view this as an opportunity for me to continue to develop, both personally and professionally.” He continues, “I hope to use this experience as a way to better serve my fellow veterans and community.” More…

The first stakeholder meeting for RUSS (Reaching Urban Students with Sustainability) Garden Planning Process was held on October 12, 2017, in the Eisenhower Board Room on the Mansfield Campus. From million-dollar movie sets to haunted ghost tours, Ohio State Mansfield graduate Dan Smith has a part in all of the action as the marketing director at the Ohio State Reformatory.

Smith grew up in the Mansfield area. From a young age, he knew he wanted to attend The Ohio State University at Mansfield. “Probably around 9th grade, I made up my mind where I wanted to go,” Smith reminisces. “My mom went to Ohio State Mansfield and a lot of my friends went here and loved it. The 19th annual Donald Bernhardt Memorial Chamber Music Concert will be presented on Sunday, October 8, at 4 PM  in the Conard Performance Hall in Riedl Hall on the Ohio State Mansfield campus.
