Starting on September 25, the North End Community Improvement Collaborative (NECIC) will begin The AALI Journey webinar series. AALI stands for African American Leadership Initiative. The mission of AALI is to identify and cultivate African American leaders in Mansfield and Richland County, and create a network of diverse leaders with relevant opportunities to connect and contribute.

The AALI Journey is a webinar series in which leadership theories and the leadership needs of this community will be discussed by experienced panelists. The first session, titled Finding Your Voice Amidst the Changing Demands of Our Communities, will be on Wednesday, September 25 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. In this session, the panelists will discuss the leadership demands of the workplace and civic communities. The result of this discussion reflects not just whether we can define the issues and needs of these environments, but what we believe characterizes leadership within those contexts.

Renée Thompson, founder and president of Unlimited Potential for Achievement, will facilitate the webinar series. Joining her as panelists for the first session will be Victor Coleman Jr., Regional External Affairs Manager at FirstEnergy Corp, Leona Smith, Community Development Coordinator at NECIC, and Deanna West-Torrence, Executive Director at NECIC.

Future sessions will be on October 16, October 30, November 13, December 4, and December 18, all from noon till 1:30 PM. Participants need only an Internet connection and to have the Zoom web conference software installed on their device. Through the software, participants will have the opportunity to ask the panelists questions during the webinar.

Registration is free until Tuesday, September 17 at noon. After that, the fee for the webinar is $9.95. All are welcome to join. Register today through the following link https://bit.ly/2kgBBud.
