When the All-Ohio Athletic Conference teams were announced on Monday morning, a Mansfield Senior grad was among the seven all-conference players from Marietta College.

Pioneer Defensive Back Jakkar Bishop was of three named to the first team.

The Marietta Times described Bishop’s year this way – “Considered one of the top pass defenders in the league, Bishop had a pair of interceptions and led Marietta with four passes broken up and six passes defended. He finished the season with 48 total tackles including 4.5 for a loss and 2.0 sacks. The speedy defensive back also blocked two kicks and recovered one fumble.”

Earlier this year, the sophomore had an opening 33 yard kickoff return against Wilmington College.
