The choirs of Mansfield Senior High and Mansfield Middle School will present “America,” a tribute to military veterans at 7 PM on Thursday, November 9.

The free program in the auditorium will be led by vocal music director Dirk Eachus and vocal music teacher Dalton Phillips. “The concert will be a tribute to those who serve,” Eachus said. “Members of the armed forces will be represented during the program.”

Numbers to be performed include:

  • “Start-Spangled Celebration,” traditional patriotic songs in a gospel style.
  • “50 Nifty United States,” a song listing all states in alphabetical order.
  • “Let Freedom Ring!”
  • “To Those Who Serve”
  • “There She Stands,” a beautiful ballad honoring the flag.
  • “We Honor You,” featuring a slide show of military members related to our singers.
  • “Armed Forces Salute,” with personal appearances by members of our armed forces.
  • “God Bless the USA”

Eachus said the concert will last for approximately one hour. There is no admission charge but donations to the vocal music program will be accepted.
