By 1812Blockhouse; Ohio District Five Area Agency on Aging

On Wednesday, Ohio District Five Area Agency on Aging announced the availability of the Ohio Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) is three counties in north central Ohio — Richland, Knox, and Seneca.

Eligible participants receive ten $5 coupons to use a participating farmers’ markets and roadside stands.

This program helps low-income seniors access locally grown and fresh fruits and vegetables, while also supporting local farmers and those running farmers’ markets.

Coupons can be redeemed for Ohio-grown fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs and honey. Some restrictions apply – click for full item list.

The vouchers will run from June 1 to November 30 of this year.
