In a statement on its website and through social media, the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library announced the closure of all library locations from Monday at 8PM through Monday, April 6.

In its statement, the Library shared, “The Mansfield/Richland County Public Library has been working closely with Richland Public Health and the Ohio Department of Health and taking the precautionary steps recommended to help combat the spread of COVID-19

…Library customers have until the close of business Monday, March 16 to pick up any items that may have already been placed on hold. All due dates for currently checked-out library materials have been extended to April 15. We ask that you do not return any items to local branches or leave items in the book drops until the library re-opens.”

The Library also reminded patrons and community members that it is still possible to enjoy your local library remotely through a “Digital Services eCard,” available to Ohio residents. WIth the eCard you can access ebooks, movies, music, magazines, online classes, and more (details here).
