Former WMFD-TV anchor/reporter Brigitte Coles has recently launched a new online interview show called Turn Up the Volume. The show is produced by Brian Skowronski of OH Report, and is available through the OH Report website and Youtube page, in addition to being shared on social media.

According to an introductory video, the goal of the series is to tell the stories of the community through interviews that are styled more as conversations.

The first two episodes have already been released, and more finished episodes are awaiting release. Episode one centered on the topics of domestic violence and mental illness, and featured interviews with Kay Smith, founder of Mothers United to SAVE (Standing Against Violence Everywhere), and Marie and Alexis Williams, the mother and sister (respectively) of Skylar Williams. Skylar, an Ohio State University – Mansfield student, was abducted and murdered in February 2019 by Ty’rell Pounds, the father of her child. The story made headlines locally and across the nation.

Coles and Skowronski are also soliciting suggestions for further episodes of Turn Up the Volume. Visit OH.Report (link above) to watch episodes that have been released and provide ideas for future programs.
