One thing is for sure – as you travel around the area from now through the fall, you are bound to see a bridge or two being repaired.

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, those projects begin this week with bridge work on the State Route 4 bridge over US30 near Bucyrus, which will result in intermittent single land closures on US30 westbound and SR4 southbound. Crews will maintain one lane of traffic in each direction at all times. Completion is scheduled for May.

Throughout the construction season, additional work will be completed on several bridges in Richland and Crawford Counties.

Columbus-bound commuters and travelers will be impacted as five bridges along I71 south of the SR13 intersection will be repaired in a project costing over $300,000. During the work, one land will be maintained in each direction at all times, with detour routes onto township and county roads.

Additional US30 bridges in Crawford County will also have repair work performed, with single lane closures as well.
