The Main Library of the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library is a rather more colorful place as of late, and will be so until early October.

A photography display called “A Colorful Dream” is the reason. Artist Adrien Broom’s 40 piece photography exhibit is a wonderfully creative journey through the color spectrum. It is on display at the Main Library in downtown Mansfield through October 9.

Over a three year period, Broom, a contemporary fine art and commercial photographer in Brooklyn, created sets that are designed to extract and display the essence of basic colors — red, yellow, blue, etc.. Photographs chronicle the travel of a young girl exploring each color-filled “world.”

This is a fully family experience. Children who view the exhibit can participate by completing an ISpy Adventure.

For a preview of the display, Adrien Broom’s website showcases the artist’s major works.
