A Mansfield business has a statewide spotlight this month.
Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted recently launched Ohio Business Profile to highlight some of the great work being done in the Buckeye State. Each month a handful of local companies tied together by a common theme is selected to be featured on the Secretary of State’s website.
For February, the theme of businesses chosen for Ohio Business Profile are those which are minority-owned. According to the site, Ohio has more than 120,000 minority-owned businesses – some 13.5% of the total number in the state. A short video about this month’s edition is featured below.
Mansfield’s Sallies Wholesale and Construction is among the five businesses chosen for February. Its Ohio Business Profile page states, “Sallie’s Wholesale and Construction, Inc. (SWC) started in a basement as a goods and service provider, later several dump trucks were purchased and managed for highway construction material, hauling for highway projects, and light contracting in the building trade. SWC is proud to say they’ve served the construction industry since 1993. SWC offers an array of products and serves a wide range of customers, consisting of prime contractors, private industries, local, state, and federal government agencies. They are confident that their customers would agree that they are both qualified and capable of providing products and services in a timely and cost sensitive manner.”
