Two Bellville stories to share today.

Ribbon Cutting Held For Long-Time Bellville Business

On Thursday morning, Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development joined in a ribbon cutting ceremony at Jackson Well Services. The company, which has been part of the Bellville community for three generations, opened a new and improved facility at 1201 Mill Road.

The new space will allow the company to serve customers more efficiently through their various businesses, which include Jackson Well Services/Central Soft Water, www.amifloridarentals.com, and ClearFit Nutrition.

The company’s website can be accessed here — https://jacksonwellservices.com.

Auditions Are Next Month For Bellville Variety Show

This spring will mark the return of the Bellville Opera House Variety Show, giving locals a chance to demonstrate their most entertaining talents for the community. Singing and dancing are common, but everyone is welcome to audition their particular talent to see if you can make the cut to perform.

Open auditions will be held March 18, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the Opera House (the second floor of the Village Hall in Bellville). The actual show will be held on April 18 at 7:00 PM in the same location. More details about the show itself will be announced closer to time.

It was the 2017 variety show, organized by then-newly elected Bellville Mayor Teri Brinkus and a group of volunteers, that helped raise funds to reopen the Opera House as a public space for the community. Recently the space was used for a series of country line dancing classes that became so successful they outgrew the Opera House. It’s wonderful to see Bellville once again making use of their Opera House in order to bring together the community.
