The Ohio Department of Development is hosting a series of discussions to better understand current issues in housing; to find gaps in products, services, and programs; and to identify best practices in Ohio.

The first meeting was held on May 17 in Columbus. This Friday, the Department is coming to Mansfield to dialogue and listen to north central Ohioans.

The Department of Development undertakes programming to connect Ohioans with housing, and also works with other state and local agencies to accomplish that goal. The Community Housing Impact and Preservation Program, for instance, works to provide and improve affordable housing.

Many Mansfield area projects have received assistance through this and other Deparmtent efforts.

The goal of the sessions is to create a report on the state of housing and homelessness in Ohio.

The Mansfield discussion will be held in two sessions, morning and evening, to accommodate schedules. The sessions will begin at 11 AM and 3 PM in the Main Branch of the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library, 43 West Third Street.

Registration can be completed here. For information, contact: [email protected].
