OK, think carefully and give this a shot: can you name the seven best beaches in Ohio?

The time is nearing when Buckeye families and friends will set out on day trips to catch some rays while enjoying sand and surf (at least some amount of water, that is).

After all, a trip to an actual oceaan is not always a possibility, so potemtoa; arounds are in order. That was the subject in today’s  “What Should We Do Today” blog, which is described this way online:

What Should We Do Today? inspires parents to take their kids out to explore Columbus, Ohio and beyond by giving them inside tips, lots of pictures and the low down on everything they need to know in order to make their outing go smoothly.

Recently the blog set out to find and examine the seven best beaches in Ohio. These are all public beaches that are free to visit. Pick out one of these destinations and enjoy a day on the water: put your toes in the sand, build a sandcastle and don’t forget the sunscreen.

One of those facilities is Pleasant Hill Lake Park in Richland and Ashland Counties.

Pleasant Hill Lake is adjacent to Mohican State Park and Malabar Farm State Park! Within Pleasant Hill Lake Park you can fish, camp, boat and swim at this public beach! There is a daily cost to enter the park.

The beach here is also home to The WhoaZone which is an inflatable obstacle course on the lake! This is a ton of fun for kids and is an additional cost.
