Richland County Park District has issued a Trail Alert for those that use the B & O trail in the Bellville area.

The alert is for two separate work efforts taking place:

First Energy crews will be running a chipper on the B & O Trail in the vicinity of Mile Marker #6 (bridge and north toward the Chompers driveway) on January 30. During this time, flaggers will be on hand to direct trail traffic, including foot and cycle traffic. Those using the trail should slow down as they approach the flaggers and follow the instructions of the flaggers.

Next week, work activities will occur in this same area in Bellville. First Energy is replacing the transmission line that runs along the stream and over the B & O Trail. Crews will be constructing ramps on either side of the B & O Trail, just north of the bridge. At times when running the new line, the Trail may be blocked for a period of time to permit the construction vehicles to cross the Trail.
