Earlier this year, we shared news that Kingwood Center Gardens had joined  the national “Museums for All” program, an initiative designed to facilitate attendance at museums for all children.

Now, Little Buckeye Children’s Museum has joined the program through a partnership with Richland Bank.

This affiliation means that low-income families can visit Kingwood for a minimal fee of $1.00 per person, for a cardholder and up to 4 individuals, with the presentation of an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card and a photo ID. Children aged 12 years and under are always admitted free.

Through the Museums for All program, EBT holders will also receive 15% off all Kingwood workshops. Please note that some events are not covered under this reduced admission fee.

According to the national program website, Museums for All is based on that premise that “…by removing the financial barrier, Museums for All also removes the social and academic barrier families face when they are not exposed to high quality museum experiences.”

Information on the Little Buckeye Children’s Museum, including hours of operation and the Museums For All program, can be found here.
