The Richland County Regional Planning Commission is sponsoring a “Complete Streets” workshop on November 3.

In promotion for the event, the Commission shares, “Streets are a vital part of livable, attractive communities. Everyone ought to have safe, comfortable, and convenient access to community destinations and public places. Complete Streets are streets for everyone. They are designed and operated to enable safe access for all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities. Complete Streets make it easy to cross the street, walk to shops, and bicycle to work.”

In particular, the workshop will focus on the basics of what constitutes a “Complete Street” and why they are important, will showcase a walk audit and a local case study, and will discuss policies and implementation.

For more information and to register, call Ashton Grigley at 419-774-4773 or email [email protected]. The event will be held in the Lower Level Conference Room of  Catalyst Life Services, 270 Sterkel Blvd in Mansfield.
