Slow Roll Past Seven Scenic And Civic Wonders Of Mansfield

That’s the goal this Tuesday evening as Slow Roll Mansfield takes a bike tour of locations featuring architecture, history, and community impact in what organizers are calling the “Seven Scenic and Civic Wonders of Mansfield.”

Saturday’s Bike-A-Palooza To Celebrate Bike Safety

The Mansfield Division of Police would like to remind the public to attend the annual 2018 “Bike-A-Palooza” community event at North Lake Park from 9 AM to 2 PM on Saturday May 19.

Bike-A-Palooza is a free family festival hosted by the Division of Police and featuring a bike ride with a cop, bicycle safety rodeo, bicycle raffle, bike inspections, small bike repairs, face painting, family entertainment, food and a basketball clinic with former Mansfield Tyger coach Joe Prats. The Richland County Regional Planning Commission is sponsoring a “Complete Streets” workshop on November 3.

In promotion for the event, the Commission shares, “Streets are a vital part of livable, attractive communities. Everyone ought to have safe, comfortable, and convenient access to community destinations and public places. Complete Streets are streets for everyone. They are designed and operated to enable safe access for all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities.
