After a one year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, the 2019 Escape from Shawshank Bike Tour returns on August 28 – a bit shorter but just as enjoyable.
The ride, which will begin at 4 PM and last for approximately three hours, will be led again by Tom Clark.
Along the way, you’ll visit Mansfield filming locations for The Shawshank Redemption with Clark adding movie dialog and context. Fittingly, the event will begin at the Ohio State Reformatory; be sure to park outside of the main gate on the left (Mansfield) side of the entry parkway.
This year’s ride is approximately 6.1 miles; two years ago, the Tour was 7.5 miles in length.
There will be a “pit stop” near the completion of the event at the Phoenix Brewery for some liquid refreshments
