An athlete from Mansfield who competes for Hamilton College has collected U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region honors for the 2017 Division III outdoor track & field season, according to the school.

Cat Berry ’19, as well as two others, are all-Atlantic Region honorees for the first time in their Hamilton track & field careers.

The regions used for this award match those used during cross country and indoor track & field seasons.

Berry picked up all-region honors for the women’s 200 meters. She unleashed a team-record time of 24.66 seconds and finished fourth in the event at the ECAC outdoor meet on May 18. She is in her first season of collegiate competition after transferring from Colgate University before the 2016-17 academic year.

Berry will compete in the 200 meters at the 2017 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships later this week. The meet, which begins on Thursday, May 25, will be held at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.”
