Ohio’s premier ski resort opened on Friday after snowfall, cold temperatures, and snowmaking combined to make it possible.
Snow Tails is open for skiing and snowboarding, as the Tweeted video announcement below shared . The slopes will be open this weekend from 9 AM to 9 PM both days.
The folks at Snow Trails remind guests that safety and good times is their number one priority. They are asking everyone to be courteous and to allow space for each other indoors and outdoors, to wear face coverings, and to follow their Safe Season Plans related to COVID-19 mandates and limits on capacities.
Friday’s Snow Report shares that “Our snowmaking campaigns have paid-off, with natural snow as an added bonus! The slopes groomed up AMAZINGLY well and it is looking beautiful for the perfect Opening Day! Snowmaking will continue as temps allow each night. Terrain Park Features are set in Alpine Terrain Park for Opening today.
Surface conditions show packaged and groomed snow.
Please note that tubing is not yet possible. Additional snowmaking is needed, and it will likely be after Christmas before it will be possible to open the Tubing Park and to offer Glow Tubing.
