Have fun next week while making a difference for those in need.

On Thursday, January 25 from 5 PM to 9:30 PM and on Friday, January 26 from 5 PM to Midnight, Snow Trails is hosting the twelfth annual Will Tube for Food.

Along with a donation of at least one non-perishable food item and the purchase of a 2 hour Snow Tubing ticket, guests will receive one 2 hour tubing ticket of the same and available for use on the same evening. These 2 hour Tubing tickets include the use of a snow tube, conveyor carpet lift to avoid walking uphill – typically required with sled-riding – and the use of multiple tubing lanes for a fun snowy descent.

The food items will be collected at the Vertical Descent Tubing Park’s Ticket Hut at Snow Trails, adjacent to the tubing lanes and the Tubing Lodge which offers a snack bar, restrooms, and panoramic views of tubers sliding-by.

“This is the twelfth annual Will Tube For Food and one we really enjoy offering,” said Nate Wolleson, Snow Trails Marketing Manager. “We want people to come-out and have a blast while saying that was the most fun I’ve had making a difference,” Wolleson said. “We began the benefit back in 2006, the first year the Tubing Park opened. We have collected truckloads of food over the years and happy to keep it going,” exclaimed Wolleson.

Catalyst Life Services New Beginnings Residential Treatment Program will benefit from this event. Clients of the Program receive group and individual counseling, vocational rehabilitation services, family reintegration services, and are supported in developing an investment in a twelve-step recovery program.

“We are so appreciative of Snow trails for hosting this annual event for us,” said Melissa Drozda Marketing and Development Director at Catalyst Life Services. “It really means a lot to have the community’s support. This is a great opportunity for people to be able to contribute in a meaningful way and when the donations all add up together –  it makes a great impact,” explained Drozda. The food donations will help to serve the programs half-way house. Learn more at catalystlifeservices.org

It is the twelfth season for the Snow Trails Vertical Descent Tubing Park. A combined total of over 300 adult, child, and adult double tubes are provided for guests of the park. Park lanes extend 1,100’ in length for a thrilling ride. A five hundred foot conveyor carpet lift takes riders to the top to choose from multiple lanes for descent. For the non-skier it’s a great opportunity to enjoy winter outdoors with family and friends.

Many enjoy the Park’s Tubing Lodge patio area for the added atmosphere of an outdoor park-side viewing area complete with picnic tables, benches, and a fire-ring for warming.

Normal hours of operation include Thursday 5:00 PM – 9:30 PM, Friday 5:00 PM – Midnight, Saturday 9:00 AM – Midnight, and Sunday 9:00 AM – 9:30PM.
