Ontario’s new Maize Memorial Dog Park will have its Grand Opening on Saturday, October 1 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (rain date of October 8th). Not only will there be a ribbon-cutting with the City Council of Ontario and Mayor Randy Hutchinson, but they will officially unveil their new sign recognizing the dog park and major sponsors who made the dog park possible. There will be dog training demonstrations, a K9 unit demonstration, and a talk on dog park etiquette. Happy Shack Pizza and Kona-Ice will be at the event along with various vendors.

The Maize Memorial Dog Park has raised over $20K for the fencing, double-gates and signage. The first two phases of the dog park is complete, but they will continue to raise funds for the annual maintenance as well as adding shelters, benches, and landscaping.

The Friends of the Maize Memorial Dog Park is a 501c3 organization dedicated to the betterment of the dog park. The dog park is open to the public from dawn to dusk, seven days a week. The dog park continues to raise funds through fence sponsorships ($150 to have a plaque on a 10-foot fence section) as well as sponsors for specific items in the dog park, such as the benches, shelters, etc.
